I grew up in Wisconsin and started hunting with my father and our Springer Spaniel at the age of 11. When I was looking for my own gun dog, I needed a breed that would be able to settle in the house with our family but hunt hard from September to February. I also wanted it to be light enough for me to pick up or carry if need be. The Small Munsterlander fit the bill perfectly and I bought my first one in 2011.
