Freya and Chase
(scroll down for puppy photos)
Freya was bred to Bold Breeze All Out Chase in mid March. I have known Chase since he was a puppy- he comes from excellent hunting and testing bloodlines. I chose him as the sire due to his even and happy personality, ability to read the terrain and vary his hunting range, and great body structure. He is a patient and cooperative hunter who gets the job done on the open prairies, duck blind or Wisconsin grouse woods. He earned a NAVHDA Utility Prize 1, hip Xrays are OFA good, and his Brown/White coat is correct with moderate feathering. He’s also the sire for Robinguns T litter, which earned a Breeders Award. He has a well muscled athletic build, similar to Freya’s and I expect the puppies will also.
Puppies
Freya delivered 5 male and 4 female puppies on Thursday, 5/19/2022. She is an exceptional mother, both attentive and protective.
Males are: Purple, Green, Brown, Blue, Red.
Females are: Pink, Yellow, Orange, Violet
All puppies will be Brown/White or very light roan. Some ticking may show on the legs, similar to Freya, but they appear to favor their sire’s coloring.

Almost 2 weeks old and each over 2 pounds
They are such movers, it’s difficult to get photos when they’re awake
Just over 3 weeks old
They’re toddling around, still falling over when they try to run. Expanded the play area and added new stuffed toys. They’ve been enjoying goat milk with probiotics as a supplement to nursing.
4 weeks old
All are over 5 lbs! Clipped off the baby collars as Ms Pink had outgrown hers. Lots of new sharp teeth too. They are doing well with added puppy food to the goat milk slurry.
5 weeks and so busy exploring
I keep expanding their play area and add a new toy or experience each day. Something as simple as an empty plastic bottle, cardboard box, or piece of a crinkly dog good bag is fun for them. Once outside, I can add water exposure, a slide, and other bigger items to explore.
6 weeks and growing!
The puppies love being outdoors in their expanded space.!!
Mr Red wasn’t sure about the steps at first but now runs up and down with ease. In the morning when I let them out, they race to the grass to go potty and then play. Neighbor kids have been over many times to play and all the puppies really enjoy the interactions. They also love to play in the sprinkler or dig in the red feed dish full of water.

7 weeks and almost ready for their new homes
The puppies enjoy having visitors everyday, both adults and young kids. Each has been exposed to leash walking but it's challenging, as once in the front yard, they just want to run and explore. They are curious about anything new - car horns, flowers, rabbit fur and pheasant wings, flying tweety birds, bicycles whizzing by and emergency sirens- exploring with all of their senses. Chasing ice cubes on the deck was a favorite activity one hot day!
Although they still use litter boxes at night, they have easily transitioned to running down to the grass to potty.
